Dr. Ryan Taylor is a board certified chiropractor in the state of Georgia. He received his undergraduate degree from New York University and then moved to Atlanta to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree (magna cum laude) from Life University. Additionally, Dr. Ryan has certifications in Active Release Technique (ART), Chiropractic Biophysics, and Functional Movement Training.
Dr. Ryan specializes in manual adjusting, or joint mobilization, which helps relieve pain and stiffness associated with joints and muscles. Routine adjustments are a safe and natural way to manage the pain and stiffness we build up through improper movement patterns, poor posture, bad sleeping habits, or overuse during daily life.
For patients who need more relief and care than is possible with a simple joint adjustment, Dr. Ryan also offers soft tissue work in his longer, scheduled appointments. These sessions include Active Release Technique (ART), which is a manual therapy much like a gentle stretching of specific dysfunctional muscles. This method feels great, gives virtually instant relief from pain and stiffness, and is a good alternative for those who don’t like, or are not yet ready, for their joints to be “popped.” Dr. Ryan also offers Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), sometimes known by the common brand name Graston. This therapy includes the breaking up of muscular adhesions deep within the muscle using a rounded metal tool and emollient.
As part of treatment, Dr. Ryan also provides custom posture coaching for all of his patients. He understands that the pain and discomfort we feel stems from our individual activities and habits. Dr. Ryan will analyze your daily routines as they relate to your posture and movement and give you tailored long-lasting solutions.
On a personal level, Dr. Ryan is an avid tennis player, yoga fanatic, movie buff, and loves to cook.
